To make aware of latest developments in the field of science and popular science BSIP Library extends Weekly display, Newspaper clippings and Current Awareness Service to all the users. Database services like GEOREF, Web of Science, JCCC@INSTIRC and access to CSIR-DST consortium is also available on the desktops of all the users through LAN.

The library has a fully integrated multi-user LIBSYS 4 software package with addition of Web OPAC. The computerization of the literature is in progress. Most of the journals are also available on line to users.

Current Awareness Service has completed 5 years. Library is regularly sending this bimonthly bulletin to different institutions and scientists throughout the country who are interested in Palaeobotany, Earth sciences and related fields.
